What's new in Version 1.4
Ribbon Generator
- The web and ui frameworks underlying this tool have been upgraded. This should result in better performance, fewer
crashes, especially when left running, and less random errors when upgrading OS version.
- Ribbon generator has new support for indents, regular and hanging.
Syntax:
<indentN> where N is a positive or negative integer indicating the number of units to indent. Negative numbers
trigger
hanging indentation.
</indentN> to disable indentation processing.
Note: In order for the first line of text to honor indentation commands, the indentation command should appear before
any settable text (and thus before the line is actually started, otherwise it will take effect on the next line.
Note: When pagebreaks are in play (ie, line length has been specified,) this will force a blank line between headers
and the top of the next paragraph on the next page.
- In order to enable the MCA editor to fit completely on-screen for most users, the MCA editor has been rearranged. The
description, errors and available mats displays have been moved to icons at the top of the screen. You can hover over the
description and errors icons to access those features, and you may click on the "green T" to get the available mats popup.
- Hyphenation should be re-enabled, and Italian and Spanish hyphenation dictionaries are now available.
- The "Minimum justification code" feature should now be working and be far less glitch ridden than previous attempts.
Note that use of this feature may result in more of your lines failing to justify (thus requiring manual intervention).
- You may show codes for a given line by hovering over line number when viewing soft proof. Note that long lines may
scroll off the screen. This is a known problem and a fix should be available soon.
- MCA and Wedge lists are now paged for easier access.
