When activated alone, the 16th row is selected using the unit width of the row below it (15). When activated in combination with another row identifier, that row identifier is used, but with the unit width of the row below it (example: 10 D activates row 10 but uses the width of row 9).&#xD;

&lt;li&gt;To activate unit shift, the code D is punched &lt;br class="break"/&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To activate the D pin, the code EF is punched &lt;br class="break"/&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;b class="bold"&gt;Unit Adding&lt;/b&gt;&lt;p class="paragraph"/&gt;
On the Keyboard-side the Unit Adding attachment works as follows:&lt;p class="paragraph"/&gt;
At the end of a line (justification): &lt;br class="break"/&gt;
&lt;ul class="minus"&gt;
&lt;li&gt; Instead of .0005 code NKJ is punched &lt;br class="break"/&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt; Instead of .0075 code NK is punched&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;To activate the unit adding wedge within the text code .0075 plus the&#xD;
mat-position is punched &lt;br class="break"/&gt;&lt;p class="paragraph"/&gt;
The keyboard must be able to add either 1, 2 or 3 units to the unit value of&#xD;
the character and count the new unit value of the character.&#xD;
